Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have specific meanings:

Consignment“: Any item or group of items intended for transport by the Company, collected from a single sender at one specified location.

Company” or “Website”: Refers to Pasabaypasabuy.com.

Customer” or “Consignor”: The person or organization arranging or sending the consignment.

Recipient” or “Consignee”: The person or organization designated to receive the consignment based on booking details.

General Terms

Payment Responsibility: Customers are accountable for any additional charges that apply if the actual weight of a consignment exceeds what was initially declared. For more details, speak to customer service. pasabaypasabuy.com operates as a digital consolidator of courier and cargo services; we do not directly handle or transport items.

Excess Weight Charges: A surcharge applies to shipments containing any item over 35 kg.

Oversize Charges: Shipments with any package dimension exceeding 120 cm, or pallets with a base dimension over 120 cm, will incur a fee for oversize.

Collection Availability: Collections can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, depending on the postcode of the collection address.

Delivery Estimates: Estimated delivery times are provided as a guideline but are not guaranteed. Customers are encouraged to track their shipments regularly and report issues promptly. If a first delivery attempt fails, a second attempt will be made at no extra charge. While most items in multi-piece shipments arrive together, separate deliveries can sometimes occur.

Customs and Security Delays: Delays caused by customs or security checks at either the origin or destination are outside of the Company’s control, and no compensation or discounts are offered in such cases. Additional fees, duties, or charges imposed by customs authorities are the responsibility of the customer.

Parcel Weight Limits: It is recommended that individual parcels do not exceed 70 kg. If you need to send larger or heavier items, please notify us in advance, as such consignments may require a vehicle with a tail lift, and a 24-hour notice may be necessary for collection. Maximum weight for palletized goods is 1000 kg.

VAT on EU Shipments: Any surcharges for deliveries within the EU will include VAT.

Address Correction Charges: A fee of £9 per shipment applies if any part of the delivery address requires changes.

Duty Reversal Admin Fees: If customs duties and taxes are billed to the sender instead of the recipient, a fee of £16 per shipment applies.

Discounted Rates: Discounted pricing is available only when booking through our website.

Payment Requirements: Consignments will not be cleared for delivery until full payment for the shipment is received.

Volumetric Weight Consideration: The volumetric weight of a shipment may be used for pricing. Refer to the Help section for details on how volumetric weight is calculated.

Customer’s Responsibility for Packaging and Labeling: Customers are responsible for securely packing, labeling, and marking the consignment, including a return address. Insurance is recommended, as the Company does not assume responsibility for damage or breakage.

Accuracy of Customer Information: The Company assumes no liability for errors or omissions in the information provided by the customer.

Undeliverable Shipments: The customer is responsible for all return costs if the shipment cannot be delivered.

Limited Liability for Loss or Damage: The Company’s maximum liability for any loss or damage is £50 per consignment.

Unforeseeable Delays: The Company is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control, such as adverse weather conditions, carrier disruptions, or customs holds.

International Liability Limits: For international consignments, the Warsaw Convention may apply, which typically limits the Company’s liability for loss, damage, or delay.

No Responsibility for Indirect Losses: The Company does not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or profits.

Right to Inspect Consignments: The Company reserves the right to open and inspect shipments as needed. This right also applies to logistics providers, customs, and other regulatory authorities involved in the shipment.

Lien on Goods: The Company reserves the right to retain goods as security for unpaid charges and may hold onto items until payment is received in full.

Claim Submission: Claims for loss or damage must be submitted within 14 days from the date of shipment. All charges must be paid before a claim is processed.

Proof of Delivery: If a recipient accepts the delivery without noting any damage, the consignment is considered received in good condition. Requests for proof of delivery cannot be made after 30 days.

Customs Charges: Any customs-related fees are the responsibility of the customer or recipient.

Declaration of Contents: The customer is responsible for providing an accurate description of the contents when booking.

Right to Modify Terms: The Company may update these terms at any time without prior notice.

Labeling Guidelines

To ensure that labels are secure, please start by cleaning the surface where the label will be placed. If the label is adhesive, peel and press it firmly onto the surface. For added security, you may reinforce it with clear packing tape, but avoid prohibited attachment methods, such as plastic wallets, strings, or staples.

Delivery Address Requirements

Provide a complete and accurate delivery address. The location should be accessible for the driver, with parking available within 25 meters. Ensure that someone will be present at the address from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the delivery date.

Accountability and Refund Policy

Labelling and Documentation Accuracy: Customers are responsible for correct labelling, accurate weight declarations, and complete documentation.

Returns Due to Undeliverable Address: If a shipment is returned, a cancellation fee and return fees will apply.

Delayed Baggage: Delays in holiday baggage deliveries are not covered. Customers should consider travel insurance for such situations.

Acceptance of Terms: By booking with us, you agree to these terms and authorize the Company to act as your customs clearance agent, including for any applicable duties.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel an order, contact our customer service team at info@pasabaypasabuy.com before the scheduled collection time. We will make every effort to coordinate with the carrier to cancel the order. Orders cannot be cancelled once collection has started, and refunds will not be provided in such cases. As we are an online broker and rely on third-party carriers, some orders may proceed if cancellation with the carrier is not feasible.

Surcharges

Surcharges levied by carriers are the customer’s responsibility. Additional fees may apply, such as remote area fees if either the pickup or delivery location is classified as remote by the carrier. For more information, see our FAQ. Customers will be notified of all fees before processing. Orders may be cancelled (following the cancellation policy) for a refund if applicable.

Refund Policy

A full refund is provided for orders cancelled before collection if the cancellation request is made within seven days of booking.

No refund will be issued for missed collections. Contact us to reschedule if a collection is missed.

Refunds are not provided for delayed shipments, as transit times are not guaranteed. However, a carrier may offer a refund at their discretion if the delay is due to negligence.

In cases of loss or damage, up to 100% of carriage costs will be refunded if the carrier or insurer accepts the claim, provided the customer has opted for insurance. Contact us at info@pasabaypasabuy.com for insurance options.

If a consignment is returned within the UK without being shipped abroad due to improper packaging, incorrect documentation, or prohibited items, customers will be liable for UK shipping fees, with a partial refund issued for international shipping costs.

Refunds are not issued in any other situations.
